The Global Goal Summit 2018, is a gathering of young students and professionals with a keen interest in The sustainable development Goals thus GLOBAL GOALS.
In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.
Our governments have a plan to save our planet…it’s our job to make sure they stick to it.
The Global Goals are only going to work if we fight for them and you can’t fight for your rights if you don’t know what they are. We believe the Goals are only going to be completed if we can make them famous.
The goal of the summit is to provide an open and inclusive platform for young people in Ghana, SDG Achievers, Development Partners and the private sector to dialogue and address pertinent issues affecting the youth. It is also meant to help develop innovative ways of ending poverty, unemployment, conflict and combat climate change in the African sub-region. The summit is envisaged to be an annual event aimed at elevating the African youth voices and to create a community of purpose for co-generation of ideas and awareness on the SDGs
