The Akoma Healing Tour presents a Cultural & Spiritual adventure to Ghana
Miramar, Fl. – March 20, 2019 – Akoma Healing Arts Collective, Inc., a collective of curated travel and design experiences for Africans in the Diaspora, is proud to announce the launch of our first tour to Ghana, West Africa.  
For over 400 years Africans in the Diaspora have been spread throughout the western hemisphere by way of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Not by choice, but by force, we were ripped from our homeland, our language, our cultural traditions and our spiritual practices.
Now, we are here as descendants and the surviving generation of these strong and powerful people. Many of us have been craving a true connection to the Motherland. We have yearned to be reminded of who we are and where we come from. Yearn no more. The Akoma Healing Tour is ready to make the connection and bring you closer to your heritage & cultural identity.
We have curated a 10-day (July 26 – August 5, 2019) cultural and spiritual experience that promises to bring travelers back to their roots with the following activities on the itinerary:
Elmina Slave Dungeons on Cape Coast
Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum
Kakum National Park in the Central Region
Ashanti Village and Shrines
Assin Manso Slave Marketplace
Aburi Mountains
A visit to the Chief of Developments Palace
And, one of the most important aspects of our tour is our contribution to the Trinity Home Orphanage where we are scheduled to bring donated school supplies, toiletries and financial contributions for the 117 students who reside and attend school on the campus.
