Hey guys!

For two weeks in November, myself and a team of 60 health care providers will be traveling to Northern Ghana to provide essential health care to patients. This includes surgical services, dental care, eye care, medications for common conditions and infections, as well as, education and medical training for local heath care workers.

The money you donate will directly contribute to our ability to provide this care to 1000s of patients that we will see in Northern Ghana that would otherwise have little to no access to medical care. What's amazing about this program is that we not only provide essential health care while we are there, the team also strives to create sustainable health care so that between the team's visits, clinics remain open under the operation of local health care providers.

Year after year I have seen how much this team has impacted the health care delivered in Northern Ghana, built strong connections with the local community and inspired the local people to take charge of the health care they provide to their people.

Having worked at an HIV clinic for 4 months last summer in Namibia, I saw first hand how one person can influence positive change and I am inspired by the significance these health care assistance programs have in Ghana, a country where health care is still developing. The sustainability aspect of the Ghana project really drove me to be apart of this truly amazing team and I look forward to doing my part this November.
