"The Big Market: Harnessing Growth in a New Age of African Trade" is a big title, but we feel the topic deserves it. There's a growing push towards greater regional integration, through trade, energy, political and security collaboration and even currencies. Africa holds the fastest growing middle class in the world, vast stores of untapped resources and growing hubs of tech innovation. African-grown businesses are increasingly expanding into neighboring countries, or leaping into new regions seeking untapped markets. Greater integration, especially around business regulations, access to investment and infrastructure, will only make this easier. Yet despite these opportunities clear challenges that threaten to slow investment remain, ranging from persistent beliefs around risk, bureaucratic hurdles and uneven access to data. The 5th Annual GTABC will bring together policy makers, business leaders, professionals and future leaders to dive deep into a wide range of areas that will be impacted by these changes.
