The trans-atlantic slavery, coupled with the influx of western cultures in Africa has relegated the cultural values and philosophies of traditional music and dance to the background. The decision to stage this production comes as response to the urgent need to sensitize Ghanaian youth on the importance of maintaining cultural heritage with regards to traditional music and dance since cultural values as a nation is embedded in traditional music and dance.
