Born and raised in Barcelona, Elisabet Cardenas´s dream was to live in Africa. Since 2010 she has been traveling around Africa, from Morocco to Gambia to Kenya, developing her passion of street photography. She finds inspiration in the faces and the stories she encounters on her travels, where “everybody is an actor, the natural light plays the director’s role and daily life is the stage”. “I came to Kenya following my instinct, not expecting anything but the light of the African continent. As life goes on, it is occasionally difficult to pay attention to the universal voice that guides your dreams, but everyday I try to stop to listen to it… Most of the time I find myself looking for that light that helps me to be focused and keep dreaming big”.
