Why a workshop on wellness?
Educators' Wellness Matters
The association between teachers’ and students’ mental health and well-being cannot be overstated. An educator’s well-being is highly correlated to work satisfaction, professional development, student well-being, and academic achievement.
Teacher stress is one of the contributing factors in Teacher well-being. While, teaching might seem like a much less stressful job than being a nurse or physician, however, according to a recent poll, 46% of teachers report high daily stress, which ties them with nurses for the most stressful occupation in America today. It is hard to think the statistics are much different in other parts of the world
The Jars Educators' Wellness Workshop is designed to bring awareness to stressors encountered by educators and give resources and strategies to enhance their mental health.
