Diaspora Talks: The Journey to Healing Through Writing

By African Women Amplified

Event Details

As we approach the New Year, let's round off the holiday season with intention. Join in for a book reading and discussion on the process of using your words to heal. In his powerful book, author David Johnson leverages loss, the safe space of family and faith, to provide powerful tools for the self-love journey.

Born in New York to Ghanaian parents, David Johnson, ended up losing both his mother and oldest brother at an early age. His healing process has encouraged him to share and support others.

Join us for an intimate discussion and learn how you can turn your journal into your first book. The event takes place at the Library of Africa and the African Diaspora. With limited seating, reserve yours today to participate in the conversation, the reading, and a short tour of an amazing space for African and African Diaspora Literature.
