TIphub’s Diaspora Day of Civic Hacking is a global day of advocacy and hackathon that pairs technologists and community leaders to brainstorm on and build out digital solutions for organizations that strengthen and support Diaspora communities around the world.
Aimed at unlocking the ingenious of the African Diaspora to tackle social issues, DDCH attendees will mobilize with fellow participants at one of our partner locations or within their own communities. Event-goers will segment into team and spend the day overcoming technical challenges and developing prototypes on behalf of dynamic organizations such as the The Peace Corps, The Dream Defenders, United Negro College Fund, Asante Africa Foundation & more.
Upon completion of the event, the projects will be supplied to the featured organizations to review in addition to being uploaded to our open sourced portal where visitors can access the hacks to ignite change within their own communities all around the world.
Participating locations include Nairobi, Accra, Lagos, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Oakland &more.
