The two Ivy League Universities in the state of New York will be at the US Embassy in Accra on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 2:00pm.
Columbia University, located in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights neighborhood, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the New York City and the fifth oldest in the United States. Columbia is most selective, with an acceptance rate of 7 percent and offers a wide range of academic choices and student activities.
Cornell is a privately endowed research university and a partner of the State University of New York. Located in Ithaca, Cornell’s main campus provides the experience of a traditional college campus, with eateries, residence halls, academic buildings, libraries and research facilities. As the federal land-grant institution in New York State, their responsibility—unique within the Ivy League—is to make contributions in all fields of knowledge in a manner that prioritizes public engagement to help improve the quality of life in our state, the nation, the world.
