The changemaker summit is an annual gathering of key stakeholders in the social entrepreneurship and changemaking eco system. Ashoka uses this forum to share key insights, Lessons learnt, gaps and work with the teams present to begin to spot trends that could inform future programming in key sectors. Key to the changemaker summit is beginning to change the conversation around changemaking, positioning it as a key opportune and urgent focus for individuals and institutions in the 21st century. Agenda: During this Changemaker Summit we will be sharing: 1. Key insights on systems change & employment informed by the work of our 77 Ashoka fellows (Social Entreprenuers) in East Africa with some insights from all the 3,000 fellows across over 80 countries globally. http://eastafrica.ashoka.org/ 2. Key insights from our Youth Venture East Africa work which currently has 4,000 Youth changemakers, 100 Youth serving organizations including insights from all the 26 countries globally implementing the program 3. Key insights from our Education work through the model initiative : Changemaker Schools EA currently with 9 schools (2014 cohort) and over 80 schools globally.
