ÀWÀNÍLÉ

By OLUWA.JPG

Event Details

Proud to present Àwánilé, the first of my homecoming photography exhibition series which will be on from the 7th to 14th of December.

Àwánilé, meaning “It has returned home” in Yoruba, speaks to the journey of reconnecting with one’s roots and the guardians of culture.

This exhibition highlights the interplay between continental and diasporic identities, influencing both personal and collective expressions within the context of modern culture. Featuring entirely new works that spotlight the Lagos waterways and the designs of iconic fashion brands defining this new era.

This immersive visual experience invites you to engage with a piece of the Lagos waterways scene, offering a unique opportunity to witness and connect.

Opening Night will be on Saturday the 7th December, from 4PM to 10PM at the newly opened @johnrandlecenter
