Come join us as we explore the only functioning ancient town in East Africa. Explore the rich Swahili culture and cuisine as we explore Zanzibar Island. Pristine white sand beaches, abundant sunshine, exotic Swahili dishes, ancient buildings are just but a few attractions in Zanzibar. If your idea of fun is to mix safari with lazing on the beach, then come join us for the Four Day, Three Night August Zanzibar trip.
Itinerary at a glance:
Day one: 5:30am departure to Dar. The Nairobi group will be picked up from Hilton and the Mombasa group will be picked up from Castle Hotel. ETA in Dar is 8pm. Snacks, water and meals will be provided as we enjoy the road-trip to Dar. Check-in at CATE hotel to freshen up, bond over dinner before we retire to bed.
Day 2: After breakfast, enjoy the 2hour ferry ride to Zanzibar courtesy of Kilimanjaro Fast Ferries Ltd . Cool breeze, friendly people and the calm blue sea will be our companion. Check-in at Tembo Beach Hotel to freshen up before we take a tour of stone town where we will experience history in the present as well as the essence of Zanzibar. Discover the slave trade routes as well as the Swahili culture in the many cultural and historic sites in Stone Town including the Museum. After the tour we will enjoy lunch at the hotel before we take a boat trip to Prison Island. Dinner at the hotel where we will have more fun getting to know each other as well as expanding our social networks.
Day 3: What is Swahili cuisine without the enticing aroma of fresh spices? After breakfast, we will have a spice tour before we flex our shopping muscles. Afterwards we will head to Manga Pwani Beach to enjoy the pearly white beaches where we will bond over games like beach football and volleyball as well as enjoying a swim; and the lovers of water sports will get a chance to scuba dive and snorkel. The scenic Forodhani Gardens will provide the background for our dinner before we head back to the hotel to freshen up. We will enjoy the Zanzibar nightlife at Livingstone Bar/Kendwa Rocks where we will exercise our vocal muscles and be rock stars for a night of Karaoke, fun and bonding. Don't forget your dancing shoes!!!
Day 4: After breakfast, we get an aerial view of Zanzibar as we head back to Dar to catch our vans back to +254.
Please make sure you carry your passport and yellow fever vaccination certificate with you. Don't forget a cardigan just in case the weather gets too cold for you.

If you don't If you don't feel like flying back to Dar from Zanzibar, it will cost you Kshs. 30,000.
