The Governing Board and Management of Tech Era, a social enterprise invites you and your organization to the Assistive Technology Makerspace Launch scheduled for Friday 9th August 2019 at the British Council from 3 pm to 5 pm. This is a collaboration between Tech Era, Ashesi University D: Lab, Dextra Innovations and the Ministry of Environment, Technology Science & Innovation (MESTI).
Being the first of its kind in Africa, the Assistive Technology Makerspace is aimed at developing affordable assistive technology and learning materials that can be scaled and mass-produced to cater for the educational and support needs of persons living with disabilities.
During this event, Tech Era will launch IXAM, computer software that allows visually impaired persons to review past questions and educational content with immediate feedback in a smart and easy way. We are hoping to provide this solution in all-inclusive senior high schools to aid academic journeys of visually impaired students as they transit into tertiary education.
We will be exceptionally grateful to have you and some members of your organization grace the occasion.
