Asafotufiam, celebrated by the Ga-Adangbe of Ada, Ghana: in memory of the elders who died during the liberation war against the Ashanti.
In Ada villages they say themselves the resistance against the invasion of people from the North .
The festival starts always on Thursday during the first week of August .
The aim for the festival is to give essentially honour to the different chiefs of the 7 clans which composed Ada .
To show that they are proud of their leaders by the way they ( predecessors ) overcome their enemies .
Adanli is the word used to design the 7 clans or ethnic groups which composed the population of Ada .
The festival lasts usually one week.
