Renee Odjidja is a curator at Whitechapel Gallery in London where she develops and organises commissions, projects, workshops and events with artists and young people aged 15 to 21.

Born in London, Renee grew up in Ghana before relocating back 12 years ago. She is currently researching the ecology of contemporary art in Ghana and alternative models of art engagement among the youth.

Renee’s talk will focus on collaborative projects developed with artists and Whitechapel Gallery’s youth forum, Duchamp & Sons leading to exhibitions, performances, participatory events, a radio show and printed material. She will consider how artists’ practices can enable a space for experimentation, exchange of art and ideas, collaboration, and learning with young people.
