Women of Destiny South Africa will be hosting its Annual Closing Party at Machipa Home for the Mentally Impaired in Hebron (between Mabopane and Garankua). Machipa is home to thirty five (35) mentally impaired children between the ages of three (3) and twenty four (24). Our organization would like to adopt this school in future because it is currently not receiving any sponsorship. Even though we won't be able to carry all the financial needs of the institution, we intend to expose their plight for financial support to potential sponsors. The day will include a formal presentation from Women of Destiny SA and input from potential partners and sponsors. Refreshments, entertainment and other fun activities will be provided (details to be communicated closer to time). Guests will be more than welcome to go inside the home and spend time with the kids, and engage with the caretakers on the needs of the school. We would like to encourage you to invite as many people as possible, especially people who might have valuable input or can offer assistance on this engagement. The school urgently need a consistant supply of disposable nappies, and has specifically requested for: - adults pull-ups (size small and mediuml) - children ( pre-school or 24 months plus). The shortage of disposable nappies makes it difficult to maitain the kids. The following essential supplies are also needed by the school: antiseptic liquids cleaning chemicals e.g. pine gels, bleach, all-purpose household cleaners and air freshners. Gifts and donations will also be highly appreciated, the school indicated the following: Toys (for boys and girls, suitable for mentally impaired kids).
