The Ghanaian president (Nana Akufo-Addo) and the minister of tourism (Hon. Catherine Afeku) have declared 2019 as 'the year of return'. This is a call for all diasporan descendants of Africans who were captured and transported into the Americas as slaves in the 17th & 18th centuries to return to their homeland of Ghana.
With this initiative now put forth, we will embark to this beautiful country to reclaim our culture, and heritage. What better time to travel to Ghana than during the December holidays when that place simply glowing with folks from all walks of life.
We will take in the tourist attractions, go on excursions, while familiarizing ourselves with the natives and their traditions. We will go to the most sought after markets to shop, shop and shop! During the nights, we will be frequenting all of the hot clubs/lounges that Accra has to offer. This will be a cultural trip unlike anyone you've taken.

F.A.Q.
• You are responsible for purchasing your own flight to and from Ghana. We can provide you with some referrals to a few travel agencies whom can help with this. We are in no way associated with any of these companies. Some of our members have however used them in the past. We took a trip to Ghana on these same dates and purchased our flights through a travel agency for $1,339.31. We purchased those December flight tickets on July 23rd, 2018. The earlier you reserve your spot and book a flight, the better/cheaper.
• You are responsible for securing your own Visa which is needed to travel to Ghana unless you are in possession of an Ecowas passport (please research). We can provide you with some assistance through a 3rd party that we have come across while purchasing ours.
• A yellow fever shot and card is needed to clear customs once you have reached Ghana. Your medical provider can provide you with both. Your medical insurance should be able to cover this. You will not be allowed to pass customs without this card. Please ask for any pills you may require during your visit (i.e. Malaria pills).
• Are you coming with a large group (6 people or more)? Group rates are available. Ask us how.
• For those who would like to stay longer, we can speak to the hotel to accommodate you for your entire trip. We can also arrange for ground transportation for you as well. We got you!
• The currency is currently 5.50 to 1. Your $1 gets you 5 cedis 50 pesewas. You get more bang for the buck.
