My name is Akua Nyame-Mensah. I am a certified executive coach and strategic advisor. I have recruited, hired, led, and coached dozens of employees.
On Wednesday, October 16, at 2 pm, I am holding my next free “Why Your Employees Aren’t Motivated” masterclass in Lagos, Nigeria.
I will be delivering a masterclass where you will learn actionable tips on how to better engage your team and engage with like-minded leaders.
This is what participants said about my last masterclass:
“I was not sure what to expect and if it would be valuable, but the key messages are simple yet impactful. Sharing experiences with professionals from industries outside my sphere, including creative and tech was my favorite part of the session.”
- Yetunde Oladeji, PwC, Associate Director
“From the session, I learned the importance of remembering that my employees aren't me and setting clear expectations from the beginning. My favorite part of the session was exchanging opinions and ideas with other participants. If you are thinking about attending a session with Akua, I would suggest you do it! Her leadership masterclass was quite interactive, insightful, and laid back as well.”
- Chuey Chu, Head of Creative Content, The Medium
“The discussions with people from various fields giving feedback on how we see the same situation differently was great. Her session reminds you of methods you have forgotten or may have not considered as a vital part of your company growth.”
- Emeka Okocha, Nothing to do in Lagos, CEO
By joining this masterclass, you will:
Learn my three-step process for increasing employee engagement, motivation, and ultimately, your bottom line.
Receive the opportunity to share your challenges and receive direct and actionable advice
Understand you are not alone in trying to motivate your employees
Meet and network with like-minded leaders who are also struggling with motivating their teams
A few facts and figures:
A survey done by Gallup of working Ghanaians between 2014 and 2016 found that:
ONLY 19% of Ghanaians surveyed felt engaged
68% felt not engaged (Not engaged means that ‘employees are psychologically unattached to their work and company. Because their engagement needs are not being fully met, they’re putting time — but not energy or passion — into their work.’)
12% felt actively disengaged (Actively disengaged ‘means that employees aren’t just unhappy at work — they are resentful that their needs aren’t being met and are acting out their unhappiness. Every day, these workers potentially undermine what their engaged coworkers accomplish.’)
I’m sure you can think of several employees (or even colleagues) that fall into the majority.
To give a bit more perspective:
Studies show that the total cost of losing an employee can cost up to millions to 1.5-2x annual salary (Source). In a startup or smaller business, losing an employee can even be more devastating - imagine the time and energy needed to replace one.
Scrolled to the bottom? This masterclass will introduce leaders to my three-step process to better engage and manage their team - increasing retention, productivity and ultimately their bottom line.
