The Accra Green Market
February 28, 2015
9:00am – 6:00pm
Cahaya Lounge, East Legon
On the 28th of February 2015 Agripro, a consulting company and foundation that aims to provide market access, accelerate agribusiness ventures, and provide agricultural support to increase food security across Africa, will host its sixth Accra Green Market.
The Accra Green Market was founded in 2013 as Ghana’s first local and organic farmer’s market and aimed to make available locally grown organic produce to consumers. It has since evolved into a monthly event celebrating 100% local and organic food, eco-friendly products, environmental sustainability and creative entertainment. The Accra Green Market is creating market linkages for small farmers and local product producers, improving urban food security, increasing environmental awareness and promoting health consciousness through regular markets and initiatives. On February 28th,, and the last Saturday of every month, innovative companies and conscious consumers will come together at Cahaya Lounge in East Legon ( on the Trasacco road across from Rawlings’ house) to promote the best in sustainability and green living.
The Accra Green Market is free to attend and open to the public from 9:00am-6:00pm. Attendees can shop for unique products, eat fresh and healthy foods, watch creative entertainment, and participate in hands-on educational activities. Attendees who plan to shop at the market can purchase a discount card for only GH₵ 5. The discount card is valid for 6 months and provides cardholders with 5% discount off the total cost of their purchase at each participating vendor.
Local companies that would like to exhibit their products and conscious consumers who are seeking quality natural products are encouraged to visit www.accragreenmarket.org for more detailed information about the Accra Green Market. All questions and enquiries should be directed to email@example.com. Agripro and the Accra Green Market team would like to encourage consumers throughout Ghana to shop local, buy fresh, go natural and embrace health.
