The AAK BuildTalk #1 by Architectural Association of Kenya
The AAK BuildTalk 2018 is a series of professional talks that will take place once every two months at venues to be communicated periodically. The talks are aimed at attracting professionals in Built and Natural environment as well as students in a bid to sharpen their business and professional acumen. They are geared to stimulate interesting discussions amongst the professionals in order to share experiences, address key issues in the practice, offer solutions to these issues and mentor future professionals in the industry.
The AAK BuildTalk #1 is scheduled for 10th January 2018 at the ADD, University of Nairobi. The talk, themed "Continuity of the Vernacular in both Architectural and Landscape Design" will be delivered by Arch. Hitesh Mehta.
Arch. Mehta is the President at MH Design. He is also the world's leading authorities, practitioners and researchers on holistic eco-planning and eco-design and both the landscape architectural and architectural aspects of ecolodges. He has also been identified as one of the Sustainable Tourism Pioneers in the world by the National Geographic Adventure magazine. His firm, HM Design, began in 1991 and is currently working on projects in Costa Rica, Kenya, Indonesia, China, Namibia and Dominica. #AAKBuildTalk #AskAAK
