Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) is the Jack Ma Foundation’s flagship philanthropic program in Africa aimed at supporting entrepreneurs. Our mission is to showcase and nurture local talent creating positive impacts in their communities and beyond, inspiring a movement of African entrepreneurship.

The prize competition aims to identify, showcase, and support African entrepreneurs who are making a difference in their local communities, working to solve pressing problems, and building a sustainable economy for the future. 💡

Every year, we select ten finalists to compete in the ABH Grand finale, broadcast online and across the continent via the televised Africa’s Business Heroes Show. The finalists compete for a share of USD $1.5 million in grant money, along with mentorship, training, and access to the ABH community.

The SUMMIT is the culminating event of the Africa’s Business Heroes competition, featuring a conference, workshops, masterclasses, and the grand finale. This summit provides an opportunity for key stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem to explore the state of entrepreneurship in Africa, network, and develop new insights and skills to support their work within the ecosystem. 🌍
