Event Information
Dr. Chris Kirubi, Chairman of Centum Investment Group, Tim Draper, Founding Partner of Draper Associates and Dave McClure, Managing Partner of 500 Startups will keynote the 4th Angel Fair Africa in Nairobi, Kenya from the 10th to 11th of November 2016. Kanini Mutooni, Director of Investments at the USAID East Africa Trade and Investment Hub, Darshan Chandaria and Kris Senanu both investors and judges from the Lion’s Den are some of the investor panelists.

The event will have 100 investors from Angel Africa List, Viktoria Ventures, Intellecap Impact Investment Network, East Africa Venture Capital Association, New Generation Angels, African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and Angel Capital Association of the United States.

This year’s event will see the deployment of two syndicates from Viktoria Ventures and Intellecap, which will allow their members to lead investments into ventures of interest to them at the event. Participants at the event will also have the opportunity to make direct investments either into startups in the first day or scaleups in the second day. “We are excited to open up our membership to investors coming to Angel Fair Africa as that would catalyze more deals in the ecosystem” said Stephen Gugu, Founder of Viktoria Ventures.

The startups and scaleups are selected from all over the continent especially East Africa through entrepreneurial partners such as Pivot East, Seedstars World, Demo Africa, Village Capital cohorts, Financial Sector Deepening Trust, MEST etc. The entrepreneurs will pitch during the event, giving investors the opportunity to prioritize those they wish to meet. In the afternoon, attendees will circulate to meet entrepreneurs in order to explore investment, business development and other types of deals. The event will also include investors’, entrepreneurs’ and “exists” panel discussions to share light on experiences and trends.
