2016 CVE Youth Blast Side Event, Nairobi Kenya Presented by Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (CYPAN) In Collaboration with the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) Title: Youth and Peace building Venue: August 7th Memorial Park Date: Friday 28th October 2016 Time: 13.30hrs-16.00hrs Description: This side event would present the role of young people in peace building, with some practical examples of the contributions of young people to promote peace in their communities through civil society actions. Evidence of this shall be brought from example across the Commonwealth. This event shall as well highlight major policy strives to promote youth participation; UNSCR 2250 and the Youth Action Against Violent Extremism and Promotion of Peace shall be discoursed. We shall as well present the 2017 Commonwealth Theme; PEACEBUILDING COMMONWEALTH.
