The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) has shattered records with 10,717 entries for its 2025 edition, highlighting the unstoppable rise of African music worldwide. This massive turnout, up from 9,076 last year, reflects the growing influence and creativity of artists, producers, and creatives across the continent and diaspora.
Entries came from all corners of Africa, led by West Africa with nearly half the submissions. A diverse 13-member international jury has begun selecting nominees, with winners to be announced during the grand event in Lagos this November. Fans will get to vote for their favorites starting September 5, making AFRIMA a truly global celebration of African talent.
