The GSAHW is an international arts and health movement, a creative health festival and initiative of the Global Arts In Medicine Fellowship. GSAHW was founded in 2023 collaboration with WHO-Jameel Arts and Health Lab with 18 countries in the global south.
GSAHW is weeklong curated and decentralized hybrid global festival celebrating the intersection of arts, health, and community well-being. This pioneering initiative is the first arts and health Olympic-like program, bringing together diverse stakeholders from Africa, Asia, and Latin America and other countries across the world.
The Global South Arts and Health Week (GSAHW) Ghana Pavilion 2024 is co-produced by the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, Arts in Medicine Ghana and the Global South Arts and Health Envoys. The festival lineup is diverse and engaging. From Stroke Education and Autism Awareness Campaigns to interactive workshops, support circles for caregivers, art therapy sessions, and screenings for at-risk individuals, forward to Mental Health Engagement Activities, Female Reproductive Health Discussions, and Theatre Performances, each day offers a unique opportunity for education, dialogue, and reflection.
