I would like to invite you all to a Maker Faire on the the 21st of March 2014, at the Ghana Technology University College campus at Tesano (time is TBA). This event is organized by Afrimakers, a global program that empowers local youth to think about practical solutions to the problems in their local communities and use hands-on science, technology and crafting to work on them.
A box of tools containing Arduinos, Raspberry Pi, and various sensors has be given to this team to facilitate initial prototyping. Please see some examples of projects developed in the other 6 African countries that are part of this community here: www.makehub.io/#/featured
The same team has trained and worked with children (6-16) and thought them how to build similar prototypes during interactive and hands-on workshops.
The event also presents a wonderful opportunity for you to exhibit any relevant concepts or solutions you have created for local problems at the venue.
