Zadokeli 2026

Zadokeli 2026 is the Creative Arts Festival presented by Meraki Arts Africa, a Ghanaian performing arts company founded in 2022. The festival runs from 11 to 13 December 2026 at the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in Accra, open daily from 10am to 10pm, with free entry. This year’s theme is Echoes of Remembrance. Over three days the programme brings together dance, drama, music, spoken word, storytelling and film, with photography, crafts and local food also featured.

Zadokeli began in 2022 as an art and photography exhibition and returned in 2023 in a similar form. The 2025 edition, held at the Efua T. Sutherland Drama Studio at the University of Ghana, expanded into a fuller creative arts festival with performances, workshops, exhibitions and film. Meraki Arts Africa is led by CEO Elorm Anang, with Adjetey Anang as chief creative director. The name Zadokeli means eclipse in Ewe. The 2026 edition is endorsed by the Ghana Tourism Authority and is listed among December in GH cultural events.
