By UCT History and Current Affairs Society
Sat, Aug 8. 5:00PM - 8:00PM
Observatory, Western Cape, South Africa, Observatory

Dr. Steve Crawford from SALT will present some of the wide range of astronomical research that is being lead by women in and from South Africa. These include explorations of our very own solar system to studies of the largest scale structures in the Universe. This will be followed by a tour of the site and, weather permitting, star gazing. We will meet on lower campus at 19:00 and if anybody is able to help with lifts, please let us know! Join HCA as we explore the stars and celebrate women's role in Astronomy! A food related informal gathering promises to follow!
