Unity Ecovillage is proud to present the first annual Unity Jazz Festival & Food Fair. This all-day
event on December 7th, 2019 features internationally acclaimed jazz performers including Dela
Botri and Odomankoma-Okyerema Kwamena Pra, drumming and dancing by the Central
Region’s finest cultural troops, and a celebration of Farmer’s Day
with a Food Fair featuring a variety of local food vendors.
Hosted at the scenic hilltop campus of Unity Ecovillage, a hotel and conference center licensed
by the Ghana Tourism Authority. The day begins with a youth program featuring Nakeeyat
Dramani (TV3 Talented Kid’s Winner, 2019) the Adisadel Jazz Band and musicians from other
local schools. The students will also enjoy masterclasses facilitated by the day’s headlining
The Food Fair begins at 2:30pm, with food vendors from around the Central Region offering farm-to-
table delicacies that celebrate the productivity of Ghana’s farmers. In the afternoon, guests
will enjoy a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open Unity’s outdoor amphitheatre, followed by
drumming and dancing by the Central Region’s celebrated traditional musicians and dancers.
As the sun begins to set, with dinner and drinks available from the Food Fair, headlining
musicians take the stage to showcase some of Ghana’s internationally renowned jazz
composers and performers. Come enjoy a delightful day of food, art, music and dance that
could only be found in Ghana’s scenic and historic Central Region.
