The legend of Aku Sika: Retold is about a young maiden named Aku who lost her arm at a very young age. Since then, she has been told to hide her deformity from the world. This is the retelling of the folktale into the contemporary era which aim to merge the then and now. In this particular tale, Aku Sika does not meet any mythical creature that gives her a golden arm but rather undergoes a self-reflection journey and finally gains the courage to show her arm to the world.
