Site_Specific is a land and nature art organisation that was founded in 2011 by Strijdom van der Merwe, Anni Snyman and Heather Greig. The intention is to promote the practice of land and nature art in South Africa and to set up a regional organisation that would serve those artists and individuals interested in the practice.

-Anni Snyman is a practicing land and nature artist. Through visual art practices, she engages colleagues and friends in what she refers to as ‘creative constellations’ or ‘kunstellasies’. These collaborative network processes search for ways to reintegrate culture and nature.
-katty vandenberghe is a digital media artist and designer, and brings her creative energy to these ‘creative constellations’ by supporting the web and social media needs through writing, photography, and videography.
-Mirella Bandini recently joined the Site_Specific team in Matjiesfontein to help out with the Snake Eagle Thinking Path, Anni Snyman’s first permanent Karoo Geoglyph project since she started it in 2008.
