PART ONE: YOGA IN THE BUSH: LAKIPIA
"Ayurveda & Yoga - Creating Balance"
Ayurveda and yoga are sister Vedic sciences that have been united for thousands of years. They show the way to achieve sacred balance in the mind and body, which leads to physical and mental wellness.
Ayurveda ("science of life" in Sanskrit) can be defined as a system, which uses the inherent principles of nature, to help maintain health in a person by keeping the individual’s body and mind in perfect equilibrium with nature.
As a sister science of Ayurveda, Yoga ("Union" in Sanskrit) is an excellent exercise and practice to incorporate in your daily routine for balancing your individual body type.
Since the very earliest records of civilization, people have used plants for medicine. Suyian Soul will be sharing their indigenous knowledge on plants and their uses amongst the local people in East Africa, and the many different diseases that can be treated using flora accessible from the immediate environment.
Emma will be sharing her knowledge on Ayurveda to help you discover which foods and plants will give you optimum health and energy.Determine your Ayurvedic body type, address health concerns and discover balancing foods, Yoga asanas and Ayurvedic treatments that work best for you in a private consultation with Emma.
Shed the effects of stress on the body and the mind, to achieve a more balanced state as we practice de-stressing flow yoga classes, guiding you to tune in to your true self through deep core connection with the breath.
PART TWO: YOGA ON THE BEACH: DIANI
"Mind & Body Detox - Relax, Restore & Revitalise"
The New Year is a perfect time to rid the body of accumulated toxins.
Gentle detoxification supports the body in lightening the toxic load, giving the body a chance to recharge and revitalise itself. Rest & relaxation are also essential for your health and well- being.
Detox your body and mind during this week of detoxifying foods, juices and energetic flow classes. The yoga classes will focus on detoxifying the body to boost energy levels, charge the immune system and eliminate fat and toxins. We will also pay extra attention to the importance of Shavasana & Yoga Nidra. Yoga sessions will be led by Emma Bonnici. There will also be the opportunity to practice with selected teachers from the African Yoga Project.
Enjoy relaxation by the pool, an Ayurvedic detoxifying massage, and soak up the natural setting of Diani white sand beach.
