On Saturday, February 9th 2019, distinguished human resource professionals and business leaders will gather at the AH Hotels and Conference (formerly PH Hotels) in East Legon, Accra for the maiden HR Professionals Brunch by KUSI Consulting.
About the HR Professionals Brunch
Human Resource professionals are the catalyst for job creation, employment and change in the workplace across businesses all over the world. The success of every business lies in its human capital and HR professionals are the developers of the people to steer the company towards its goals. Indeed we are the drivers and implementers of effective organizational policies, systems, procedures and practices that businesses need to survive and thrive. It is a fact that businesses that do not pay attention to HR will not be successful in the long run.
Statistics show that last year, in 2017, the unemployment rate in Ghana was at approximately 2.36 percent. More than 1.2 million persons from 15 years and older are estimated to be unemployed, representing the total unemployment rate of 11.9%, according to the Labour Force Survey Report.
If the unemployment tide is going to turn then it is up to HR professionals to strengthen their bond, exchange ideas, share knowledge, equip themselves and also lend expertise to others across the sector that are in need of guidance and support.
The HR Professionals Brunch is an event, which aims to bring something different and vibrant to the HR space in Ghana. It is a networking event to help HR professionals build relationships, exchange and share ideas. Under the theme: “Bridging the Gap Between Industries”, the HR Professionals Brunch aims to do just that, which is to connect HR leaders from various industries and sectors. We hope by the end of the brunch, attendees would have networked and made meaningful connections that will last a lifetime.
In addition, with Ghana perceived as one of the leading countries on the African continent, we want to set a tone in the African HR space for our counterparts to follow.
We are expecting to host between 60-80 Human Resource professionals from across some of the leading industries in Ghana and hope you will join us.
Honorable Ignatius Baffour Awuah (MP), Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.
