The GISRAfrica conference would be a series in the Africa nations. GISRAfrica conference is aimed at the professional practice, government and academic community. It would attract delegates from all parts of the continent from disciplines including and not limited to Geography, Computer Science, Urban Planning, Archaeology, Geology, Geomatics and Engineering.
Aims of the conference:
to act as a focus for GIS research in the Africa
to provide a mechanism for the announcement and publication of GIS research
to act as an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of research ideas
to promote active collaboration amongst researchers and professionals using the GIS technology from diverse parent disciplines
to provide a framework in which postgraduate students can see their work in a national context
to evaluate the use and application of GIS in Africa.
