About Mt.Elgon 4x4 Challenge: 

Mt.Elgon Jumbocharge 4X4 Challenge is
a high-energy motorsport event with a purpose — leveraging onthe sporting activity to run sensitization campaigns, fundraise and rehabitate degraded forest lands within Mt. Elgon ecosystem through tree growing. 

 Over the past 3 years, Jumbocharge trust has adopted 320 Hectares of degraded forest land under the "Adopt-a-Forest" framework with Kenya Forest Service and partnered with various stakeholders including local communities  to grow more than 600,000 indigenous trees.

 Upcoming Event

The first edition of Mt.Elgon 4x4 challenge this year ,which is also part of the national championship will be hosted by Jumbocharge on 11th May,2025 from 9.00am at Kiptogot forest Block (Transnzoia county).  

There will be 4 main  competition categories:-

▪Super expert category, 
▪Expert category,
▪ Intermediate category  and
▪Beginner category.

Anyone with a daily use 4x4 offroad vehicle can participate in Beginner category as the obstacles are gentle and the only damage you will incur is  carwash expense😌.

 *Note : Kiptogot forest  is now easily accessible even by  small 'non offroad' cars through an alternative route (turn left ,approximately 1KM past Mowlem Market) .
