LIKE A STORM, IT’S COMING!!! “BACK TO AFRICA MUSIC FESTIVIAL (BATAMFEST)” 2014 IN GHANA As part of the process of emancipation and the Renaissance of Africa Campaign; NGO partners PanAfrica-Ghana (PG), Prodigy International Productions Association, (PIPA), Black Joseph Foundation (BJF) in collaboration with W.E.B. Dubois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture and Partners presents a “BACK TO AFRICA MUSIC FESTIVAL” with the acronym “BATAMFEST”, and themed: “UNIFY AFRICA”, sub-themed: “THINK ABOUT THE YOUTH (TATY)-AFRICAN EXPERIENCE”, featuring top-notched performers from Ghana, Africa and the Diaspora The event scheduled to take place at the Afia African Village (Afia Beach Hotel) near the Independence Square, Accra on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 6:00 pm through 01:40 am, and at Golden Tulip Kumasi City Hotel on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 6:00 pm through 01:40 am, is to pay homage and tribute to Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah (born on September 21, 1909) and Prof. Kofi Awoonor (who was killed in Nairobi, Kenya on September 21, 2013). Launch The platform would be used to launch a “BATAMFEST - 2015 PANAFEST/Emancipation Day Celebrations program of activity; “2ND Pan African Music Festival (PAMF) 2016”; “Africa Family Re-Union Jam Benefit Concerts (AFREJABEC) 2017 in Africa”; the “Slave Route Project Agenda (SRPA)”; “Musicians On Pan Africa Tour (MOPATOUR) Project Agenda” and “Appiahkrom Food Security Project (AKFOSEP)” in totality. September 21, 2014, marks another day in the commemoration of Founder’s Day. It highlights the achievements of Ghana’s illustrious son and Africa’s man of the millennium, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
